Top Ten Tuesday is the brainchild of The Broke & the Bookish. Every Tuesday, we compile a list of our literary Top 10, and then add it to the blog hop.
This week is all about our Top 10 Books That Have Been On Our Shelves Since Before We Started Blogging And Still Haven’t Read.
Ooo, I loved Game of Thrones!!

Thank you for reminding me of Metro Girl! I’ve been wracking my brain for books set, at least partially, in NC. This NASCAR themed series fits the bill, lol.

A Game of Thrones was on my TBR for a very long time, and when I finally jumped in, it was 4 months between starting and finishing it. Oops! I don’t know, it just dragged a lot for me. It was definitely a good book, though.
Great list 🙂

Does everyone have an unread Ernest Hemingby novel lurking on their shelves?! For Whom The Bell Tolls is on mine too.

I tried to get into Hemingway, bought a few books from flea markets and such. Read The Old Man And The Sea, thought it was excruciating, and haven’t touched another Hemingway since. 😀

Funnily enough The Old Man and the Sea is also the only one I’ve finished. Probably because it was quite short!

I also read The Old Man And The Sea. It was a literature book in high school. I don’t think I’ve touched Hemingway since then. So many books, so many times.

Tony Robinson did the audio book? I’m going to look for that!

Tony Robinson narrated The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists, not anything by Hemingway. Then again, Robinson is really prolific he did most, if not all, of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld audiobooks.

Last night I was scheduling post about Pulitzer winners and finalists and realized Joyce Carol Oates has been a finalist multiple times. I don’t think I’ve read any of her books but it’s time to add her to my TBR.

I loved A Song of Ice and Fire, and pretty much read all five back-to-back. Taking the plunge to read Game of Thrones is very daunting though.
