I haven’t read Lamb yet, but Moore made my list too. I had the Gunseller on my bookshelf for years before giving it to my brother… I really wish I’d read it now! Maybe it’s not too late to borrow it from him. 😉

I just grabbed the first in the Rivers of London series (don’t think it’s actually called that) last week and am looking forward to reading it. Nice list and thanks for sharing!

Bill Bryson is always a good choice. I really like the old Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie but I could never get into the book.

I had no idea that Mark Gatiss had written books! I’m going to have to go search those out because I can imagine them being good. And Rivers of London has been on my tbr since forever. Great list!

Yes, next to all sorts of Doctor Who books, he wrote the Lucifer Box trilogy including The Vesuvius Club, The Devil in Amber and Black Butterfly. The protagonist is an Edwardian dandy and spy who is a bisexual mix of Sherlock Holmes and James Bond. They’re hilarious stories!

This is turning into such a great topic – and it seems that I’ve forgotten loads of books that I could have included! – Like Rivers of London.
